Creative Spark are delighted to offer a new series of Online Taster Classes for suitable for Adults and Teens. Learn a new skill with our expert tutors. A relaxing and fun way to get creative.  Artists will also run a short follow up zoom with participants with tips tricks and advice. Classes will be available to watch for one week at your own convenience.

Lettering with Illustration

 Hand drawn lettering - look at styles, structure of lettering and spacing

• How to gather resources to illustrate, using found objects - such as leaves and flowers or online

• How to draw loosely, looking at pattern and shape

• Using basic drawing tools, such as pen, ink and pencil, but exploring the lines that can be created with different drawing tools

• How to combine both to create a poster / postcard / wall art.

The class will allow the student to explore techniques in mark making and basic insight into creating an illustration with lettering. There will also be a follow up Zoom session with artist Meilynn for advise, tips and tricks.

Materials: pencil, rubber, ruler, fine liner pen 0.5 / 0.3 (any fine black pen will do) Paper

Optional materials; trace paper ,coloured pencil
