Being an effective communicator is more than being able to deliver a presentation. Communication impacts all aspects of our relationships, personal and professional. It includes listening and non-verbal communication as well as speaking.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of the training programme, participants will:
• Understand how communication works
• Identify the barriers to communication- with focus on virtual/hybrid
communication
• Recognise different communication styles and how to build rapport
• Appreciate the role of body language and tone in communication
• Reflect on the role of listening and questioning skills in communication
• Understand how to deliver effective feedback
• Recognise how to be assertive rather than aggressive in communicating
• Recognise how to deal with difficult conversations and delivering bad news
• Identify how to speak up at meetings and in impromptu settings
